Lasercut + Letterpress Wedding Invitation

When Whitney contacted me about designing her wedding invitations, I knew she was going to be a fun bride to work with. Besides being a lot of fun, she had great style and a fabulous wedding location to boot. Even though Whitney’s wedding colors were muted sorbet tones, we chose to use a color scheme on the invitation that reflected the venue, Rosewood Mayakoba, and the beautiful Riviera Maya waters that surround it…

The hints of blue also played into Whitney and Ross’ wedding day decor, and made a stunning backdrop for their event! For their invitation, Whitney and Ross wanted to use letterpress and laser cutting, and with that, we set to work designing. Here is a look at the finished product!

This suite had so many amazing details. My favorite had to be the laser cut sleeve. Designed and drawn from scratch, this was such an intricate piece that was the show stopper of the whole suite.

Since silver was an accent color here, and in the wedding celebration, I thought foiling a few accents on the main invitation would be a nice touch. Combined with the letterpress, this invitation has so much texture which I love!

Besides letterpress and foil, the main invitation card also featured silver edge painting. On the back, we blind letterpressed (no ink) the same design from the sleeve to tie it in on the invitation card as well.

Of course, dressing up your envelope is a must! Custom stamps, calligraphy, and a custom wax seal helped get guests excited about the envelope in the mailbox before they even saw what was inside!

This invitation was definitely a favorite of mine from last year! Whitney and Ross were a blast to work with and their wedding turned out absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to share more details from their day with you.
