For their summer time wedding, Michele wanted to have a wedding that mixed the old and the new, creating a bit of a garden style with the colors of purples and greens…
When I met with Michele to review my portfolio with her, she found an invitation I had previously done and fell completely in love with it. Using this piece as inspiration, we designed an invitation for Michele and Rich that was a completely custom creation, with Michele’s own personal spin on it.
With Michele being a fashion designer (she designed her own wedding dress which is a STUNNER!), I knew texture was important, and Michele was a huge fan of the embossed paper with the floral details, so we made sure that played a big part in her invitation design. Using her color scheme, and Jenn and Bryan’s invitation as inspiration, we set to work creating the perfect invitation for Michele and Rich’s black tie affair.
A detail shot of the embossing, as well as the boarderless envelope printing for Michele’s mailing envelopes.
Tip: The envelope is the first thing your guests will see when they open the mailbox. Make it pretty with color, custom stamps, wax seals, pretty printing or calligraphy.
Michele and Rich were over the moon with their invitations, and I was glad to work with them to create their other wedding day papers as well. Can’t wait to share some peeks from the celebration with you!
