We’re nearing the end of the “Favorites From the Past 10 Years” blog series! Short and sweet, this post highlights my favorite details from the day of. I’ll admit, this one was a little tough to narrow down! We’ve done so many fun programs, menus and escort cards it was hard to choose a single favorite from the last 10 years but here they are…
Fan programs are a popular choice for outdoor celebrations. This one for a beautiful wedding in Santa Barbara, California was a favorite because of the colors, materials, and the shape of the fan we used.
This choice for favorite menu was a no-brainer for me. I’ll be sharing more from this AMAZING wedding soon, but for now let’s just look at this menu. When Caroline told me she wanted a hand held style mirror I was TOTALLY on board. This menu has all the bells and whistles: die cut, gold foil on the front and back and offset flat printing. It’s a show stopper, and definitely a keepsake for all of their guests. The back side – which was facing up on the plates – had a note from the bride and groom as well as each guest’s name written in calligraphy. The front side features the menu. Again, more of this amazing suite to come soon! Photos by Caroline Tran.
This was a tough one, as we’ve done so many fun escort cards in the past. This set, however, is from some of my first years in business and they have always been an absolute favorite. Kelly and Rob’s wedding took place in the Natural History Museum in New York City. Their tables were to be named after animals in the museum so I though, hmm, why not make their escort cards directing guests to the table a fun spin off of the museum. Each escort card was designed like a “brochure” of the animal pertaining to that guest’s table. On the front was a picture of the animal with a trivia question. Once the escort card was open you had the answer to your question. I really had fun with these!
Again, more from this amazing wedding coming soon! These place cards were silver foil stamped on black paper with each guest’s name done in silver calligraphy. A true show stopper at your place!
We do a lot of signage for weddings and a lot of them are similar in style. This sign for the wedding of Katrina and Brian was a favorite simply because it was a little different in style, and it combined ribbon and lace which I always love. Photo by Jana Williams.
